Medical Care of the Camp
For the safety of the children and the camp personnel, a doctor’s office and a sickroom operate on a 24-hour basis, with a doctor and nurse in attendance. The nearest Health Centre is just 10 km. away from the camp and a vehicle and driver are on the alert to transport emergency cases should the need arise.
Our principal concern is the children’s safety. For this reason, in addition to the group leaders, the community leaders and the leader, who are responsible for and at the children’s side throughout the day and night, the camp has a night watchman to guard the facility at night and lifeguards for the safety of children in the sea.
Water supply – Electricity supply
The water supply is from the network of the Municipality of Amphipolis and the water from all taps is drinkable. The electricity supply is from the national network of the Public Power Corporation (DEI) and from a generator in the event of power-cuts. Safety plugs are installed in all the rooms.
The fire-safety system installed in the camp meets all the specifications demanded by the Fire Service, for the protection of the children and the facilities in the event of fire.
